FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What are the options for infiltration gutters ?

The gutters can be fitted with infiltration openings or embedded porous clinkers. The openings and clinkers are basically designed so that the gutter is not the limiting factor for infiltration. The amount of water that can be infiltrated will therefore always be determined by the permeability of the soil in which the channel is placed. In other words, the gutter will always have a higher permeability than the encompassing soil.

Can the gutter joints be made watertight ?

o   DELTA-U/-T: the gutters can be made watertight with a sealant. The necessary instructions and materials are available.

o  DELTA-O: the concealed gutters are always fitted with a rubber pressure seal and can always be interconnected in a watertight manner.

Is it necessary to install geotextile ?

Installation of geotextile is only necessary for gutters with infiltration openings. This is not necessary for gutters with porous clinkers.

Are there solutions for bends and corners?

o   DELTA-U: specified solutions are available in a technical data sheet.

o   DELTA-T: special types are available to realise corner connections and a 90° T-connection.

o   DELTA-O: for diameters 300 and 400mm, angles of 2.5°, 7.5°, 15° and 30° are available. For other diameters, specified solutions are available in a technical data sheet.
